Job Summary:
Registered Nurse (RN) specializing in Long Term Acute Care (LTAC) located in New Britain, CT. This position involves providing specialized nursing care within a medically complex rehabilitation environment focused on cardiac monitoring and VAD management. The role requires adaptability to float between units and work nights, supporting a diverse patient population with critical needs.

Job Details:

• Schedule: 12-hour night shifts from 7:00 PM to 7:30 AM; every other weekend is required.
• Required Qualifications: RN licensure with 2 years of experience, including experience with respiratory or ventilated patients strongly preferred; prior travel experience is advantageous. BLS certification is required; ACLS certification is preferred.
• Preferred Qualifications: Experience with complex wound care, Trach care, Port Access, central line dressing, IV starts, blood administration, and glucose monitoring.
• Additional Information: The RN will be responsible for IV starts, drips, blood administration, EKGs, medication titrations, wound vac changes, wound dressings, Trach care, suctioning, straight cath, foley care, and linen changes. The role involves float duties between the Medically Complex Rehabilitation Unit and the Cardiovascular Management Unit, with shifts potentially divided between units during the night shift.
