Registered Nurse - Progressive Care

Role Overview: This position is for a Registered Nurse in Progressive Care, responsible for delivering high-quality, patient-centered care in a 44-bed stepdown unit specializing in trauma, neurosciences, surgery, and oncology. The nurse collaborates with medical providers to assess patient conditions, perform ordered procedures, administer medications, and document care accurately. Serving as a patient advocate, the RN ensures an exceptional patient experience. Key Responsibilities Assess patient status during admission and shifts, reporting changes. Perform procedures and interventions as ordered. Administer medications and monitor responses. Maintain thorough documentation of care provided. Stay informed about medications, procedures, and equipment used for cardiac and medical-surgical care. Qualifications & Skills BSN or enrollment in a BSN program with an expected completion within five years; 10+ years of experience exempted. Current RN license in the state; BLS certification required. Preferred: Master’s in Nursing and national certification in specialty area. Minimum of one year nursing experience.
