Job Description
Join Our Team as an Early Intervention Specialist!
Are you passionate about making a real impact on the lives of families? Do you thrive in a dynamic, creative and changing environment?
We are looking for a compassionate and innovative Early Intervention Specialist (EIS) to join our team to work with infants, toddlers, and their families, empowering them to overcome challenges and unlock new opportunities for growth in their child's development.
As an EIS, you will be part of a collaborative, multidisciplinary team, that helps families with a child who has an identified disability and/or developmental delay by developing strategies within the families and child's daily routine. You'll deliver Specialized Skills Training and Case Management services to families in their natural environments, whether that's at home, daycare, or community settings. Plus, you will be able to connect with families and provide support through a hybrid model of in-person and/or telehealth services.
What You'll Do:
Collaborate with Families and Team Members: Work alongside families, doctors, other professionals and community partners to evaluate needs, develop personalized treatment plans, and track progress. You'll help the whole family gain the needed tools to assist their child with meeting their full potential.
Provide Specialized Skills Training: Support children as they develop functional skills through fun and engaging strategies that encourage growth and independence.
Case Management: Help families access the resources they need, from services to advocacy, while ensuring they understand their rights and feel supported throughout the process.
Use Creative Coaching Strategies: Implement the Coaching Model, which lets families take the lead in their child's development, ensuring that interventions are personalized and integrated into everyday activities.
Trauma-Informed Care: Approach every interaction with empathy and respect, using Trauma-Informed Care principles to create a safe and supportive environment for families. This role isn't just about providing services, it's about making meaningful connections, sparking creative solutions, and helping families navigate their unique journeys in a way that works for them. If you're a self-starter with a knack for thinking outside the box, we want you to help families shine!
Requirements of early intervention service provision come under the authority of the Individuals with Disabilities Education Act and are regulated by the Texas Department of Health and Human Services.
