Typical projects will entail municipal water, sewer, and roadway infrastructure, dams, site planning, and stormwater management. The role involves working in a team environment on a broad range of engineering projects from planning through implementation. Responsibilities Collaborate with clients to assess needs and establish realistic project goals. Work with and/or support a team of professionals performing calculations and developing site plans. Manage projects to ensure adherence to timelines and budgets. Develop proposals outlining service fees. Research economic alternatives for project components. Present applications and provide testimony to land‑use boards and commissions. Prepare construction cost estimates and reports for civil projects. Liaise with professionals, attorneys, developers, contractors, and public agencies. Support firm principals in business development efforts. Qualifications BS in Civil Engineering. Professional Engineer (PE) license with a minimum of 4 years of related experience OR Engineer in Training (EIT) on track to attain PE license with a minimum of 5 years of related experience. Experience in site design for residential, commercial, and industrial projects, including: Zoning and planning requirements Site grading and erosion control design Roadway and street design Stormwater, drainage and hydraulic calculations and design Septic and utility systems Construction document preparation Retaining wall design (a plus) Proficiency in MS Office, especially Word and Excel. Multi‑discipline project management skills. Proficiency in AutoCAD Civil 3D (2023 or higher) required. Sound mathematical skills required. Excellent verbal and written communication skills required. Valid driver’s license and reliable transportation required (occasional local travel for site visits and client meetings). A criminal background check and driving record check will be conducted.
