Maintenance Mechanic & Equipment Repair - 2nd Shift

Job Overview This position is contingent upon program award to Lockheed Martin. The offer of employment is contingent on Lockheed Martin securing the program award. The role is a General Maintenance Mechanic, responsible for maintaining plant facilities and equipment in a commercial/industrial work environment. Responsibilities Equipment Maintenance & Repair: Install, repair, maintain and fabricate manufacturing equipment; perform general maintenance and service functions. Tasks include mechanical and electrical repairs, welding, pipefitting, air conditioning, carpentry, and painting. Perform periodic inspections and tests. Report findings. Operational Support: Follow general instructions from supervisors; work from blueprints, sketches and oral instructions; use hand tools, power tools and other equipment; may direct other employees as assigned. Special Duties: Work from a hanging chair or climb to heights exceeding 25 feet; receive appropriate pay for such work. Qualifications Primary skilled trade of machine repair and a secondary skilled trade (electrical, HVAC, pipefitter, maintenance welder, or carpenter). Experience operating material handling and rigging equipment. Apprenticeship papers, journeyman card or 5+ years of equivalent work experience in a skilled trade. Knowledge of machine tools and welding is a plus. Strong verbal communication and teamwork skills. Must supply all customary hand tools of the trade. Successfully pass company physical and drug test. Can lift nominal weight, climb ladders, use elevated platforms, and bend while servicing equipment. Must be a U.S. citizen and able to obtain a government security clearance. Security Clearance Required: Secret clearance. Must be a U.S. citizen.
