MEP Engineering - Project Manager

MEP Engineering - Project Manager BL Companies has an exciting opportunity for a Project Manager to join our Mechanical, Electrical, and Plumbing (MEP) Engineering team, leading a group of engineers and designers in the successful delivery of multi-discipline projects across our numerous market sectors. This position requires focus on resource and workload management, personnel development, and client care. Qualifications An ideal candidate must be a licensed professional engineer with minimum 10 years experience in managing multi-discipline projects, coordinating with architects/engineers, subcontractors, and vendors. Supervisory experience is required. The position can be based in any of BL's locations: Meriden, Hartford, Charlotte, or Wilmington. Responsibilities Execution of MEP based projects to BL’s expectations for quality, schedule, and profitability Plan, coordinate, communicate, and facilitate the completion of tasks across multiple disciplines on projects of all sizes from conception through completion Coordination with external clients and subconsultants Participate in business development and proposal process as well as contract negotiations Monitor and report to department manager the status of projects, budgets, and work backlog Manage a team of multiple staff including designers and/or engineers, providing mentorship and ensuring billable targets are met Recruit, develop and retain staff in support of the company's strategic growth plan Required Experience Licensed Professional Engineer (Mechanical or Electrical) 10+ years of MEP Engineering experience, including at least 6 years in project management Supervisory experience Demonstrated history of successful business development Benefits and Compensation BL Companies offers a competitive benefit package including 6 paid holidays plus the week from Christmas to New Years paid, generous PTO, Medical, Dental and Vision insurance, disability insurance, life insurance, 401k matching, and Employee Stock Ownership Plan (ESOP).
