Optional OT for additional income. How you'll spend your time as a CNC Lathe Machinist: Read blueprints and plan the best approach for each part. Program parts in Mastercam for Mazak lathes. Set up and run dual spindle lathes, working from both sides. Machine precision aluminum parts to tolerances within 0.001" to 0.005". Turn high level designs into manufacturable parts. Tackle quick turn specialty work, most of it one of a kind. Inspect finished parts to ensure top quality. Keep learning and sharpening your machining skills. Skills & experience we'd like you to have as a CNC Lathe Machinist: Mastercam programming experience preferred. Ability to read and interpret blueprints. Mazatrol experience preferred. Dual spindle lathe experience preferred. Experience holding tight tolerances, ideally in aluminum. Machining certificate or two-year program a plus. Traditional manufacturing background not required; early career candidates welcome. High-energy, problem-solving mindset with a drive to learn. Confidence to take on difficult parts and figure them out. This position involves export controlled information. Candidates must meet U.S. Person requirements under the International Traffic in Arms Regulations (ITAR) and complete federal employment eligibility verification. Sound interesting?
