About the Position

Job Title

Certified Surgical Technician – Labor and Delivery

Location

Newton, MA

Schedule / Job Type

Contract | Nights | 36 hours per week | Three 12-hour shifts (7:00 PM – 7:30 AM) | Every other weekend and rotating holidays

Key Responsibilities

• Assist surgical team during Labor and Delivery procedures, including OB/GYN cases
• Prepare and maintain sterile field in the operating room environment
• Handle and pass surgical instruments and supplies during procedures
• Ensure proper care and handling of surgical equipment before, during, and after procedures
• Collaborate with nursing and surgical staff to support safe patient care in the Labor and Delivery setting

Required Qualifications

• Active NBSTSA Certification (CST) required
• Prior experience in OB/GYN surgical cases required
• Ability to work night shifts, every other weekend, and rotating holidays

Preferred Experience / Skills

• Experience in a high-volume Labor and Delivery surgical environment
• Strong knowledge of sterile technique and surgical instrumentation specific to OB/GYN procedures
