PRST is looking for a Safety Specialist for one of their Fredericksburg, VA customers.  This is a long-term position with the potential for temp-to-hire with consistent overtime.  

• Inspect work areas, machines, and tools for safety
• Follow OSHA and local health laws
• Teach safe work habits to other employees
• Check in to accidents, report, and document
• Build safety rules for the company
• Implement and manage safety procedures

• Currently holds at least an OSHA 10 certification - OSHA 30 preferred
• Previous recent experience in a safety specialist or coordinator role
• Experience working in a production and shop environment
• Flexibility to work day or night shift (schedule will primarily be days but may include working some night shifts)
• Ability to lift on average 50 lbs.
• Able to sit, stand, bend, kneel, and otherwise maneuver throughout shift to accomplish tasks
