Roles & Responsibilities

• Deliver therapy interventions safely and effectively, following each patient's personalized PT plan of care
• Document patient progress and responses to treatment with precision and care
• Empower patients through education and customized home exercise programs
• Communicate openly with supervising PTs and the interdisciplinary team to ensure continuity of care
• Champion safety, infection control, and compliance in all aspects of patient care

Qualifications

• Graduate of an accredited Physical Therapist Assistant program
• Active state PTA license in Virginia (or ability to obtain prior to start)
• Ability to follow treatment plans and collaborate as part of a dynamic care team

Education

• Graduate of an accredited Physical Therapist Assistant program

Knowledge & Skills

• Physical therapy techniques and interventions
• Patient education and home exercise program design
• Clinical documentation and progress notes
• Treatment plan implementation and modification
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills
• Infection control and safety protocols
• Interdisciplinary collaboration and teamwork
• Compliance with state and federal regulations
