Grocery Clerk - # 1 South Gate - Firestone Starting rate $16.90 per hour Location: 5702 Firestone Blvd, South Gate, California 90280, United States Responsibilities Under direct supervision of the Grocery Manager, the Grocery Clerk will provide friendly, courteous, and helpful service, assist customers, clean display cases and shelves, and clean, fill and rotate the self‑serve displays. Must be able to work a variety of hours including nights and weekends and perform heavy lifting, bending and stooping for long periods of time. Qualifications Read and comprehend simple instructions, product labels, product pricing codes, shelf tags, short correspondence, and memos. Effectively present information in one‑on‑one and small group situations to customers, clients, and other employees. Apply common sense understanding to carry out detailed but uncomplicated written or oral instructions. Regularly lift and/or move up to 25 pounds, frequently lift and/or move up to 45 pounds, and occasionally lift and/or move up to 60 pounds. Additional Desired Skills Basic PC/Outlook skills. Retail Management Certificate. Physical requirements include lifting, standing, walking, kneeling, heavy lifting up to 60 pounds, bending and stooping for long periods, visual and auditory abilities. The working environment is typical for a fast‑paced grocery store.
