Job Full Description

Our client, a senior living community in Weston, MA, is looking for an experienced Cook to join their culinary team. This is a great opportunity for a skilled cook who enjoys preparing high-quality, healthy meals and working with older adults in a collaborative environment.

Pay: $23.00-$30.00 per hour
Schedule: Full-time, including weekends
Weekend Differential: Additional $5.00 per hour

Direct Hire position w/full benefits

Responsibilities:

Prepare and serve flavorful, nutritious meals for residents and staff
Follow established food preparation, handling, and sanitation procedures
Prepare meals that accommodate therapeutic and dietary needs
Maintain cleanliness of the kitchen and dining service areas
Adjust recipes and menus based on feedback from residents and staff
Work closely with the culinary team to develop healthy and appealing menu options
Help maintain the high standards of a five-star senior living community

Qualifications:

2+ years of professional cooking experience
Strong culinary and food preparation skills
Knowledge of therapeutic diets and ability to modify recipes as needed
ServSafe Certification required
Strong understanding of food safety and sanitation standards
Calm, professional demeanor with excellent interpersonal skills
Previous experience in a senior living or healthcare setting preferred
