Class A Commercial Truck DriverJob Summary:We are currently seeking a dependable and organized Class A Commercial Truck Driver who possesses a great deal of physical and mental stamina for success in this role. The candidate must have the ability to work longer hours as needed, be on the road daily, and consistently ensure safe and accurate deliveries of modular homes. Candidate must be detail-oriented, efficient, and have a clean driving record. The candidate will have great communication skills to help in relay and coordination of deliveries as a valued and contributing member of the Ritz-Transportation team.Primary Responsibilities and Duties:Drive trucks with a Gross Vehicle Weight (GVW) over 26,000 lbs.Pull a towed weight exceeding 10,000 lbs.Ensure trailer hitch is properly and securely attached to the tractor unitEnsure units are properly fastened to the framesSafely and efficiently park units at jobsites or dealer lotsStay on a predetermined route and ensure timely deliveriesCommunicate with dispatch as neededComplete and Comply with Electronic Logging Devices and regulationsPerform inspections of your vehicle and unit prior to and following each tripContact Delivery Person at the time of Departure and 1 hour from deliveryMaintain a clean truck, inside and outNotify Garage of any issues with the truckBe available for trips during daylight hoursNotify managers of any major delivery issues encounteredFollow delivery schedule and rest at appropriate timesMaintain detailed driving and delivery paperworkHire pilot cars as needed to complete movesAdhere to company rules and regulationsObey all applicable traffic laws and drive according to the weather/road conditionsComply with ICC and DOT regulationsAlways make safety a priorityComfortable maneuvering and parking a tractor-trailerTake photos of any delays during transport, as well as photos of every side of the unit before unhooking at deliveryUpload photos and maintain communication on our company appRequired Skills:Valid Class A driver's license1+ year CDL driving experience preferredClean driving record with no moving violationsMust pass a background check and Drug Test and randomsAbility to lift up to 50 lbs. at a timeHigh level of composure and good stress managementGreat communication skillsEducation/Experience:High School Diploma or equivalentCompany Details:Ritz-Trans has symbolized dedication, integrity, experience, and service quality in the modular and manufactured home transportation industry over the past 18 years.
