3rd Shift Utility PersonHanover, PA 17331OverviewJob Shift GraveyardDescriptionResponsible for assisting leads in setting up lines and filling in for various positions as assigned by the supervisor.Assists leadperson in setting up lines, as needed.Fills in for various positions, as assigned by the supervisor and/or leadperson.Must have knowledge of the depal machine operation.Must be able to operate a forklift and an electric pallet jack.Must be able to function in a laborer capacity for ingredient handling and container handling.Must be able to perform the duties of a closing machine operator.Must be able to perform the duties of a sauce cook (prepare brines).Must be able to prepare concentrate and understand the bean soaking procedures and operate at least one processing vessel.Responsible for heavy lifting.Reports any mechanical and/or safety issues to supervisor and/or leadperson immediately.Keeps work area clean and in accordance with good housekeeping practices.Adheres to common safety practices and procedures including the wearing of protective equipment and clothing.Adheres to the company's plant hygiene standards to ensure high product integrity.Responsible for the execution of food safety, legality and quality policies and procedures within the scope of the job responsibilities such as but not limited to: GMP's, HACCP, safety, product quality, food security, plant security, etc.Performs other duties as assigned by the supervisor and/or leadperson.QualificationsBasic math skillsAbility to record data on to a spreadsheetAbility to communicate with management and co-workersAbility to work with minimal supervisionAbility to work in all environmentsMust be able to work overtime as requiredMust maintain a good attendance recordSafe work habitsThe ability to attend work predictably and regularly and to be punctual.The ability to read and understand documents, drawings, and instructions (whether presented in written, oral, diagram or schedule form).The ability to work with mathematical concepts and to apply concepts to practical situations.The ability to work cooperatively with others.The ability to deal politely and professionally with customers and coworkers.The ability to perform several tasks at once.The ability to follow direction or instruction.The ability to use a computer to communicate, create, and access information.The ability to lift and move.The ability to sit/stand/bend/stretch, etc.The ability to use hands to finger, handle, or feel and reach with the hands and arms
