Accounting Manager

Responsibilities

Kforce has a client in Saint Augustine, FL that is seeking an experienced Accounting Manager to lead a high-performing accounting team within a growing construction organization. This role will oversee both Accounts Payable and Accounts Receivable functions while ensuring accurate financial reporting, job costing, and operational alignment across projects. The ideal candidate will bring a strong background in construction accounting within large organizations, along with proven leadership experience managing teams and supporting complex, high-volume operations.Responsibilities:

• Manage and mentor a team of approximately 10 professionals across AP and AR functions
• Oversee full-cycle accounting processes, including billing, cash receipts, and vendor payments
• Ensure accurate job costing, budgeting, and cost tracking across multiple projects
• Support financial reporting, including preparation and review of financial statements
• Manage intercompany/project transactions and direct cost entries
• Partner with operational teams to ensure alignment between project accounting and financial reporting
• Review and improve accounting processes, controls, and efficiencies
• Assist with month-end and year-end close processes

Skills

• To be considered for this position, candidates must have experience in a similar role, or they must possess significant knowledge, experience, and abilities to successfully perform the responsibilities listed
• Relevant education and/or training will be considered a plus

The pay range is the lowest to highest compensation we reasonably in good faith believe we would pay at posting for this role. We may ultimately pay more or less than this range. Employee pay is based on factors like relevant education, qualifications, certifications, experience, skills, seniority, location, performance, union contract and business needs. This range may be modified in the future.


We offer comprehensive benefits including medical/dental/vision insurance, HSA, FSA, 401(k), and life, disability & ADD insurance to eligible employees. Salaried personnel receive paid time off. Hourly employees are not eligible for paid time off unless required by law. Hourly employees on a Service Contract Act project are eligible for paid sick leave.
