The Cut Associate Position

The Cut Associate position operates cutting equipment and secondary equipment in order to provide quality product to the customer. Essential functions include performing all assigned machine operations, reading job specifications to determine machine adjustments and material requirements, determining the appropriate cutting equipment and methods based on requirements, setting up, adjusting and operating machinery and equipment to cut parts to specifications, maintaining equipment in a condition that does not compromise safety, ensuring work is done safely, consistently and meets quality standards, observing machine operation to detect work piece defects or machine malfunctions, inspecting cut surfaces and structure to ensure accuracy and discover flaws, removing burrs, sharp edges, rust or scale from work piece, identifying, tagging and removing non-conforming materials, accurately completing all required paperwork in a timely manner, communicating with other departments as necessary, keeping work areas clean and organized, adhering to all company rules and policies, and performing other related duties as assigned by supervisor.
