Inventory Manager

We are immediately hiring an Inventory Manager in Tracy, CA for our Supply Chain Solutions division. Pay Type: Exempt / Salary paid twice per month. Annual Salary Pay: $90,000 (range $85,000–$95,000). Schedule: Monday – Friday, day shift. Summary The Inventory Manager reports to the Senior Logistics Manager and is responsible for tracking incoming and finished goods, packaging supplies, and other materials needed for warehousing and distribution. The role provides accounting support for inventory issues and oversees cycle counters and clerks. Essential Functions Track day‑to‑day facility inventory costs and support facility KPIs to meet or exceed established goals. Maintain daily, weekly, and monthly KPI reports. Develop and maintain inventory control systems that meet ongoing and future facility needs. Manage the facility cycle‑count program and the inventory recoup/repack/return/recycle program. Provide floor support to Operations Supervisors and hourly associates regarding inventory issues; provide office support to I/O Coordinators, receiving, and shipping personnel. Facilitate and execute the hold process for the local site. Conduct periodic performance evaluations of direct reports and influence employee development. Ensure shift meetings provide necessary information so employees can consistently perform well. Additional Responsibilities Promote positive customer relationships. Perform other duties as assigned. Communicate effectively in both verbal and written forms with customers, employees, peers, and management. Work self‑directedly with minimal supervision and independently as part of a team. Detail oriented with rigorous follow‑up practices. Highly proficient in Microsoft Word, Excel, and Windows; intermediate computer skills required. Exposure to Lean principles, systems, and tools (beginner preferred). Knowledge of Warehouse Management Systems (WMS) – intermediate preferred. Knowledge of OSHA regulations – intermediate required. DOT and Hazmat knowledge – intermediate preferred. APICS certification – intermediate preferred. Qualifications High school diploma or GED required; bachelor’s degree preferred in logistics, supply chain, or related field. Three (3) years or more manufacturing/production/distribution inventory experience. Two (2) years or more supervisory experience. Three (3) years or more PC inventory and accounting skills. Three (3) years or more problem‑solving skills; use of formal Root Cause Countermeasure systems preferred. Intermediate computer skills required. Exposure to Lean principles, systems, and tools – beginner preferred. Knowledge of Warehouse Management Systems (WMS) – intermediate preferred. OSHA knowledge – intermediate required. DOT and Hazmat knowledge – intermediate preferred. APICS certification – intermediate preferred.
