Director of Education
Technology Association of Iowa
Job Description
Technology is at the center of Iowa’s growth, and the Technology Association of Iowa (TAI) helps bring the people, companies, ideas, and conversations shaping that future together.
\n \nTAI connects Iowa’s technology leaders and professionals through statewide events, public policy, professional development programs, talent initiatives, member engagement, and storytelling that highlights the impact of technology across every industry.
\n \nWe’re looking for a Director of Education to lead and grow TAI’s leadership development programs, alumni engagement, and executive roundtables, bringing together professionals from across Iowa’s technology community to build skills, exchange ideas, and develop lasting relationships.
\n \nThis is a highly visible, hands-on leadership role for an experienced facilitator and program builder who can translate the needs of Iowa’s technology workforce into relevant, high-quality learning experiences. If you enjoy bringing people together, guiding meaningful conversations, developing engaging content, and turning big-picture strategy into thoughtfully executed programs, this role offers an opportunity to drive professional development across Iowa’s technology ecosystem.
\n \nPosition Overview
\n \nThe Director of Education is responsible for developing, facilitating, executing, and overseeing the Technology Association of Iowa's educational and professional development portfolio. This includes the Iowa Technology Leadership Institute (ITLI), Iowa Tech Connect (ITC), the TAI Alumni Network, C-Suite Roundtables, and potential future educational offerings.

The Director will work closely with executive leaders, subject-matter experts, facilitators, members, and partners to develop and deliver meaningful content for large and diverse groups while ensuring each program has a clear purpose, defined audience, and measurable outcomes.
\n \nThis position will be central in solidifying TAI as a trusted, comprehensive resource for technology leadership and professional development in Iowa. While highly strategic, this is also a hands-on role responsible for the daily planning, communication, facilitation, and logistical details required to deliver exceptional programs.
\n \nKey Responsibilities

3. C-Suite Roundtables

- Serve as TAI's primary liaison to C-Suite Roundtables, building trusted relationships with roundtable chairs and participants and ensuring the groups remain relevant, connected, valuable, and responsive to executive-level needs. \n
- Partner with roundtable chairs to develop meeting topics, identify speakers, shape agendas, and facilitate candid, engaging, and productive peer conversations. \n
- Manage meeting schedules, participant communications, venues or virtual platforms, food and beverage, materials, and appropriate follow-up while maintaining the confidentiality and trusted environment of each group. \n
4. Program Planning, Operations, and Financial Management
\n \n- \n
- Lead development and management of the annual educational program calendar, establishing clear timelines, milestones, resource needs, and internal responsibilities across the portfolio. \n

- Define measures of success and collect and analyze participation, feedback, engagement, financial, and outcome data to assess individual programs and the overall educational portfolio. \n
