Position: Certified Medical Assistant Location: BPP Primary Care Job Type: Full Time Shift: Days Compensation: Non‑Exempt Description Consistently demonstrate professional conduct and ethical practice in the clinical setting. Use and interpret both verbal and non‑verbal communication with patients and family members. Perform initial clinical assessments and assist physicians with treatments or procedures. Provide patient instruction and education related to diagnoses, tests, and medications. Maintain and perform proficiency testing of clinical equipment. Display safety consciousness for patients, self, staff, and equipment. Establish and enhance good rapport with patients and family members. Comply with infection control principles and sterile procedures. Use proper body mechanics when handling equipment and performing daily duties. Enter concise, accurate, and legible reports of patient care in the electronic medical record. Communicate effectively and timely with coworkers and clinic personnel to provide mutual care support. BMH Physician Partners has multiple practices across Beaufort and Hampton Counties; all employees are expected to be available to cover in those practices as needed. The Medical Assistant must be detail‑oriented and able to multi‑task at all times. Position Requirements Education: High school graduate or equivalent and completion of a medical assistant program (CMA, RMA, NCMA, CCMA) or one year of verified medical office experience as a medical assistant. LPN license or EMT certification is a plus. Experience: Mature reasoning ability, strong attention to detail. 2–3 years of previous medical office experience preferred. Ability to work independently and as part of a team. Certifications/Licenses: BLS certification (issued by the American Heart Association) required prior to first clinical shift. One of the following certifications is required: AAMA (CMA); NHA (CCMA); AMT (RMA); NCCT (NCMA); ARMA; NAHP (NRCMA).
