You will support the design, development, and continuous improvement of ice-making equipment and related systems. The ideal candidate will have foundational experience in electro-mechanical or industrial design and a strong interest in product development within a manufacturing environment.You will:Assist in the design and development of electro-mechanical components and systems for commercial ice machinesCreate and update 3D models, assemblies, and detailed drawingsSupport product improvements, cost reductions, and design optimization initiativesCollaborate with cross-functional teams including manufacturing, quality, and supply chainParticipate in design reviews, testing, and validation of new products and featuresTroubleshoot design issues and support root cause analysis activitiesEnsure designs meet safety, quality, and regulatory standardsMaintain accurate engineering documentation and bills of materialsKey QualificationsAssociate’s degree in mechanical engineering, Industrial Design, or related experience in lieu of education within an engineering field3-5 years of relevant experienceExposure to electro-mechanical design principles or industrial product designBasic understanding of manufacturing processes (sheet metal, plastics, assembly, etc.)Strong problem-solving and analytical skillsEffective communication and teamwork abilitiesPreferred Skills & ExperienceEngineering Software Experience Preferred: SolidWorks, Creo, PDM systemsExperience with refrigeration systems (highly preferred but not required)Familiarity with design for manufacturability (DFM) and design for assembly (DFA)Exposure to prototype builds, testing, and validationERP Software Experience, Preferred: Oracle, SAPShift/Position:6:00 - 3:00pm or 8:00am - 5:00pm Monday - FridayCompensation:The hourly pay for this role is: $30.00/hr. Opportunity for a rate increase after you are proficient in certain skills and have fulfilled training.
