Professional Land Surveyor (PLS)

Job Description

A medium sized North San Diego County civil engineering & land surveying firm in business for over 30 years is seeking a full-time, experienced Professional Land Surveyor for all types of land surveying work on projects throughout Southern California.

Experience and Knowledge of

Boundary survey calculations and boundary resolution
Legal description writing
Mapping for Parcel Maps, Subdivisions, Record of Survey, Corner Records, ALTA's
Construction staking calculations
Topographic/ALTA surveys
Working knowledge of AutoCAD
Field survey techniques
Workable knowledge of GPS & Robotic Total Stations

Required qualifications

Active CA Professional Land Surveying license (required)

Preferred qualifications

Department manager leadership experience
Drone and 3D Scanning Experience (a plus)
Three - Five years' experience as party chief
Strong mathematical background
Good handwriting and note keeping
Team player
Strong communication skills
Valid CA driver's license with a clean record
Ability to manage and prioritize multiple tasks/projects
