Human Resources GeneralistThe Human Resources Generalist supports the execution of core HR functions including employee relations, compliance, training, and HR program implementation. This role provides guidance to managers on workplace issues, conducts employee relations investigations, ensures compliance with company policies and employment laws, and supports initiatives that strengthen the employee experience. The HR Generalist works closely with HR leadership and operational teams to implement HR strategies, deliver training, and support HR processes across the employee lifecycle. This role requires strong judgment, the ability to manage sensitive situations, and a proactive approach to solving workplace issues while maintaining compliance and consistency.Responsibilities:Employee RelationsServe as an HR partner to managers and employees on employee relations matters including performance concerns, workplace conflict, attendance issues, and policy interpretationConduct onsite employee relations investigations, gather and document facts, and recommend appropriate actions in alignment with company policies and legal considerationsCoach managers on performance management, corrective action, and documentation to ensure consistency and fairnessPartner with HR leadership on complex or high-risk employee relations matters and assist in implementing recommended actionsIdentify trends in employee relations issues and recommend proactive solutions, training, or policy improvementsHR Compliance and Policy AdministrationEnsure HR practices comply with federal, state, and local employment laws and company policiesSupport internal HR audits and compliance reviews to ensure proper documentation and policy adherenceAssist with development, implementation, and communication of HR policies and proceduresMonitor regulatory updates and support implementation of necessary process or policy changesHR Operations and Employee Lifecycle SupportSupport key HR processes across the employee lifecycle including onboarding, role changes, and offboardingAct as a trusted HR resource for managers navigating employee-related processes and decisionsCollaborate with HR team members to ensure consistent execution of HR programs and initiativesWork with field leaders to develop relationships, support, and identify business needsPartner with leaders to identify training needs and support development planning for employees and teamsExecution of Strategic HR InitiativesSupport execution of HR strategic initiatives and organizational programs that align with business objectivesReinforce company leadership expectations and behavioral standards through training and coachingAssist with communication and rollout of HR programs across departmentsContribute insights from employee interactions to help inform HR strategy and organizational improvementsMaintain confidentiality while handling sensitive employee information and workplace issuesOther duties as assignedRequirementsQualifications:Five (5) years of progressive HR experience and a Bachelor's degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or related field or equivalent combination of education and experienceBilingual English and Spanish requiredHR certification such as PHR or SHRM-CPDemonstrated experience handling employee relations matters and conducting workplace investigationsStrong knowledge of employment laws and HR compliance requirementsStrong communication, relationship-building, coaching, problem-solving, and conflict resolution skillsHigh level of discretion and ability to manage confidential informationProficient in Microsoft Office SuiteExperience with HRIS systems preferredExperience supporting multi-site or field-based operations preferredPhysical Requirements:Ability to work in operational and field environments as needed, which may include construction sites, warehouses, or other industrial settingsPrimarily sedentary work involving prolonged sitting and computer useOccasional standing and walking for meetings or administrative tasksFrequent use of hands and fingers to operate a computer, phone, and other office equipmentAbility to communicate verbally and hear conversations in person and via phone or virtual platformsClose vision required for computer screens and detailed documentsMay occasionally lift or carry up to 20 poundsTravel up to 75%TAKKION is an Equal Opportunity Employer
