Make a difference in the lives of students as a Certified Occupational Therapy Assistant (COTA) in a dynamic school-based setting near Kaneohe, HI. This contract position provides the opportunity to collaborate with a dedicated educational team and support children in reaching their fullest potential. You’ll provide direct therapy services, carry out treatment plans designed by OTs, and contribute to the overall growth and development of students.

Qualifications & Requirements:

• Associate’s degree from an accredited Occupational Therapy Assistant program
• Current and valid COTA license in Hawaii (or eligible)
• School experience preferred but not required
• Understanding of pediatric therapy techniques
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills
• Ability to work collaboratively with teachers and other staff

Key Responsibilities:

• Support the implementation of occupational therapy interventions within educational settings
• Assist in delivering individualized and group therapy activities to students with diverse needs
• Document students’ progress and communicate observations with supervising OT and school faculty
• Adapt activities to promote student participation and development of fine motor and daily living skills
• Maintain compliance with district and special education requirements
• Promote a positive, inclusive environment that encourages student progress
