Job Description As a Field Auto Appraiser, you will be at the forefront of our claims process—meeting customers where they are, whether at home, a repair shop, or a tow yard. You will lead in writing estimates and guiding customers through the repair or total loss process, using a mix of in‑person visits, virtual inspections, and written communication. Responsibilities Write precise and comprehensive estimates for each claim. Investigate casualty claims, reviewing damage and interpreting policies to determine coverage. Communicate with customers via phone, email, and video chat to keep them updated on claim progress. Negotiate settlement amounts with customers, vendors, third‑party carriers, and claimants in accordance with legal and business standards. Use multiple tools—estimate software, job aids, and settlement platforms—to manage a fast‑paced workload. Maintain accurate records in the claims system, ensuring documentation aligns with policy agreements. Preferred Qualifications 3–5 years of auto collision estimating experience using CCC or Mitchell. High School Diploma or GED. Strong written and verbal communication skills. Attention to detail and ability to write precise estimates. Comfortable with using technology and various platforms for claims processing. Excellent time‑management and organizational skills. Valid driver’s license and willingness to travel. Licensing Requirements Obtain an adjuster’s license in multiple markets (Appraiser license required in RI). All required licenses must be obtained within 60 days of hire. Maintain all licensing and required continuing education throughout employment. Work Location This field‑based role requires you to be located in Nassau County, Long Island, NY. Company Car & Training Depending on company car guidelines, this role may qualify for a company vehicle. You may use your personal vehicle until mileage thresholds are met, and mileage reimbursements will be provided. Two weeks of in‑person training may be required at the Dallas, TX office.
