Vascular Surgeon

The Vascular Surgeon provides comprehensive vascular surgical care, including performing angiographic, vascular surgical, and endovascular procedures. Oversee patients through the full continuum of care, including admissions, procedures, discharges, and follow-up evaluations. Coordinate preoperative diagnostic tests and ensure appropriate preparation for surgical procedures. Educate and counsel patients and their families regarding conditions, procedures, risks, and post-operative care. The Vascular Surgeon maintains an academic environment conducive to the training and professional development of medical residents. Administer and oversee the administration of moderate sedation as necessary. Provide post-procedure evaluations, follow-ups, and management of complications. Ensure adherence to all established medication policies and avoid distributing sample medications. The Vascular Surgeon participates in emergency vascular procedures as required.

Must be board-certified or board-eligible by the American Board of Vascular Surgeons, maintaining up-to-date continuing education requirements. If required to prescribe controlled substances, must have an active DEA registration in the state where services are provided. Must complete and maintain current certification in Basic Life Support (BLS) and Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS). Must possess a current, full, and unrestricted medical license to practice in any U.S. State, Territory, or the District of Columbia.
