Your Responsibilities
- Performing thorough patient evaluations, ordering necessary diagnostic exams, and creating personalized treatment regimens
- Diagnosing and managing both acute and chronic health issues independently or collaboratively with physicians based on your qualifications
- Guiding patients and families on disease prevention, well-being, and management strategies
- Prescribing appropriate medications and therapeutic interventions within your professional scope
- Participating in ongoing patient care and chronic illness management
- Collaborating with diverse healthcare teams to ensure comprehensive, continuous patient care
- Meticulously documenting in electronic medical records (EMR) to maintain accuracy and clarity
Education Requirements
- Master of Science in Nursing (MSN) or Doctor of Nursing Practice (DNP)
- Graduation from an accredited Nurse Practitioner program
Necessary Certifications
- Active Nurse Practitioner license in the state of Georgia
- National certification as a Family Nurse Practitioner (FNP-C, AANP or ANCC) or a relevant specialty certification
- Certifications in Basic Life Support (BLS) and Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS) (or the ability to attain these within 90 days)
