Physical Therapist

The Physical Therapist will provide comprehensive physical therapy services to patients within a skilled nursing and long-term care setting. The successful candidate will perform evaluative and therapeutic procedures under the order of a physician or other accepted healthcare providers, while adhering to safety precautions and clinical guidelines. The therapist will evaluate and treat patients based on department protocols and establish a therapeutic plan of care that includes both long-term and short-term goals.

Job Responsibilities

• Conduct thorough evaluations and develop individualized treatment plans for patients.
• Collaborate with patients and healthcare providers to maximize functional abilities and patient independence.
• Implement therapeutic interventions in accordance with established protocols.
• Monitor and document patient progress, adjusting treatment plans as necessary.
• Provide education and support to patients and their families regarding treatment plans and expected outcomes.

• Proficient in spoken and written English, with the ability to understand and follow instructions.

Education and Experience

• Bachelor's degree in physical therapy is required; Master's or Doctorate preferred.
• Must be licensed as a Physical Therapist in the state of Maine.
• Basic Life Support (BLS) certification is required.
