RN Med/Surg Tele Float Pool FT Night Differential

Position Summary The Clinical Staff Nurse is an experienced Registered Nurse responsible for delivering high-quality, patient-centered care across multiple hospital units, including Medical-Surgical Telemetry, Emergency Department, ICU, and Post Anesthesia Care. They organize, plan, and coordinate care based on the Watson Model of Care, demonstrating flexibility and clinical expertise to meet diverse patient needs. The role involves active participation in hospital mission, core values, and quality improvement initiatives. Key Responsibilities Provide flexible patient care across different units as patient census demands. Apply nursing process for assessment, planning, intervention, and evaluation. Recognize subtle clinical changes and adapt care accordingly. Deliver age-appropriate care, utilizing current research and critical thinking. Build therapeutic relationships, conduct hourly rounding, and promote patient satisfaction. Communicate effectively using SBAR during hand-offs. Document assessments, care plans, and interventions per policies. Coordinate discharge planning with interdisciplinary teams. Monitor patient progress, notify physicians of changes, and evaluate intervention outcomes. Supervise ancillary staff and assist with unit orientation and setup. Maintain a safe environment, participate in quality initiatives, and ensure regulatory compliance. Support training and onboarding of new staff, and assist with system testing. Provide basic hygiene and ADLs, and perform other duties as assigned. Qualifications & Skills Associate degree or Nursing Diploma required; Bachelor's preferred. At least 12 months of clinical nursing experience, with Med/Surg/Telemetry or Critical Care preferred. Current California Nursing license, BLS, and ACLS certifications. Basic EKG skills; critical care or surgical nursing certifications preferred. Bilingual skills (Spanish), basic computer skills, and EMR experience are advantageous. #J-18808-Ljbffr CARIN Alliance
