You Will Perform high-quality ultrasound procedures in strict accordance with department policy and procedure manuals, complying with all applicable federal, state, local, and other regulatory requirements. Assist radiologists with ultrasound-guided biopsies and procedures as needed. Understand the methods used to generate ultrasound data and the theory and operation of the instruments that detect, display, and store acoustic information generated in clinical examinations. Monitor patients’ well-being during exams; recognize patient discomfort or medical problems and take appropriate action. Demonstrate competency in safeguarding patient property and Patient Health Information. Safeguard any on-site medications in accordance with company policies, procedures, and legal requirements. Demonstrate respect for company property, including cash and patient financial information on site or on patient portals. Be responsive to the needs of others by exhibiting professional behavior toward patients and coworkers. Respect patient boundaries and cultural sensitivities during all interactions. Interact diplomatically and sympathetically with patients, their families, and the public in a clinical setting. Establish, nurture, and maintain cooperative working relationships. To Ensure Success In This Role, You Must Have Completed an Ultrasound Technologist program with a diploma. Passed the SPI exam. Current ARDMS certifications or ARDMS Registry Eligibility preferred.
