Box Office AssociateThe Hobby Center for the Performing Arts is seeking a part time person for employment. The Box Office Associate provides exemplary customer service to our Hobby Center patrons by selling tickets and assisting with any necessary information.Preferred candidates will have experience in customer service. Knowledge of Ticketmaster and/or Tessitura as well as experience in performing arts box office are a plus.Essential Duties and ResponsibilitiesAnswer incoming calls regarding Hobby Center eventsAnswer incoming e-mail inquiriesSell single tickets and subscriptions at the box officeExchange tickets for season subscribersReconcile cash drawer at the end of each shiftMay perform other duties as assignedQualificationsCalculate mathematical computations and handle financial transaction accurately in a fast-paced environmentFollow all policies/procedures, risk management, health and safety protocols, rules, regulations, and emergency procedures established at the facilityDemonstrate ability to carry out tasks in a reliable, productive, and expedient mannerMaintain an effective working relationship with patrons, clients, employees, and othersMaintain a customer service-oriented attitudeAbility to work long and irregular hours that may vary due to events and may include day, evening, weekends, and holidays.Education and/or ExperienceHigh School diploma or GEDBox office or guest services background preferredCash handling experience preferredComputer SkillsOperate computerized ticketing system and standard office equipment
