Certified Medical Assistant

Performs assigned patient care and observation duties under the direction of a licensed provider, RN, or LPN Performs routine and more complex medical assistant clinical duties to include, but not limited to obtaining vital signs, retrieving patient medical history, administering a limited profile of medications/vaccines, performing simple back office diagnostic tests, collecting specimens, drawing blood, sterilizing and cleaning equipment, performing EKG, Spirometry test, and maintaining examination rooms in an outpatient care setting Promotes a supportive and healing environment to enhance customer satisfaction Assists in emergency situations as directed by a licensed provider, RN, or LPN Maintains patients' charts and records Ensures patient has proper identification and documentation Follows HIPPA Guidelines and confidentiality Verify orders and store unit supplies May also be responsible for some administrative duties in support of patient and practice operations such as Faxing, obtaining medical records, and phone calls. #J-18808-Ljbffr
