Oncology Medical Science Liaison/Sr Medical Science Liaison - Texas

AstraZeneca seeks an Oncology Medical Science Liaison or Senior MSL based in Texas to serve as the regional medical expert for thoracic cancer products. The role involves building clinical strategy, supporting healthcare professionals with scientific expertise, and collaborating across medical affairs and commercial teams to improve patient outcomes.
Responsibilities
- Establish credibility as trusted scientific advisor and expert resource for internal and external healthcare professionals
- Synthesize HCP insights across regions and communicate findings to internal collaborators
- Integrate scientific evidence into business strategies, training resources, and guideline applications
- Lead clinical trials, research activities, and special projects within the field
- Coach and mentor team members on external relationship building and provide onboarding support for new hires
Requirements
- Advanced degree (PharmD, MD/DO, PhD, PA, NP, or BSN with extensive clinical experience)
- Minimum 2 years MSL experience or related therapeutic area experience
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills
- Ability to work independently and collaboratively in matrix environments
- Demonstrated leadership, initiative, and problem-solving capabilities
- Strong project management skills
- Willingness to travel 40-60% domestically by car and plane
