Position Detail s:Health Informatics Specialist -Remote- Philadelphia, PALocation : Philadelphia, PA 191 04Project Duration : 12 months/ Remo tePay range : $35–$40 per hour , Shift : 8x5 / 40 h rs Job Descripti on:The Health Informatics Specialist III is an experienced informatics nurse and experienced internal consultant who partners with the Departments of Clinical, Business and DTS teams to support the successful, design, implementation, adoption and interoperability of clinical and non-clinical information systems across the Client. The Health Informatics Specialist III is directly engaged in enterprise, capital and operational projects. Utilizing process improvement and change management techniques, the Health Informatics Specialist III is responsible for identifying and implementing improvement opportunities with an aim of harm and risk reduction, improving workflows and care delivery, and evaluating the effectiveness of integrated technologi es. Job Responsibil ity:Leaders hip:Serves as a liaison between Digital & Technology Services and nursing, providers, allied health and non-clinical end us ers.Develops and maintains effective partnerships with clinical and operational leaders hip.Analyzes clinical and non-clinical Digital & Technology Services to determine applicability to nursing and clinical practice, operational processes, administration and resea rch.Demonstrates excellent critical thinking and problem solving ski lls.Leads unit level core and sub-teams for operational and implementation w ork.Consults with individuals and groups in defining healthcare information problems, identifies methods for implementing, utilizing and modifying DTS solutions and data structures to support healthcare access, delivery and evaluat ion.Works collaboratively with enterprise-wide governance and/or unit level Nursing Shared Governa nce.Identifies the impact of clinical and non-clinical Digital & Technology Service applicability to clinical practice, education, business processes and resea rch.Communicates with key stakeholders, sponsors and internal customers, giving presentations, project updates and gathering input on enterprise and operational projects and initiati ves.Serve as a preceptor for graduate informatics stude nts.Partners for clinical communication and offers guidance clinical workflow processes during downtime events and through EHR reconciliat ion. Change & Quality Manage ment:Demonstrates knowledge of system life cycles and complies with defined framework for system implementation for developing, reviewing, approving and disseminating changes clinical and non-clinical Digital & Technology Serv ices.Operationalizes change by using quality methodologies for standardizing processes in accordance with current evidence, quality initiatives, regulatory compliance, billing compli ance.Develops risk/benefit matrices of alternate solutions to help clinical partners with decision ma king.Recognizes the impact change on clinical and non-clinical systems to assure adoption across the system. Partners with education and communicat ions.Collaborates with clinical partners for problem identification and documents workflows (current and future state requireme nts).Assists with project and operational tes ting.Perform gap analyses and works with clients to identify solutions to close identified gaps and mitigate r isks. (Data wareh ousing).Develops auditing and review processes to ensure project goals and deliverables are met.Participates in Epic Vendor visits/follow up visits. Research & E ducation:Provides support to nursing research, assist clinical nurses in utilization of research and evidenced based practice.Assists with the development of training materials and provides on-going support of clinical Digital & Technology Services.Participates in scholarly activities including: writing for publication; presentation of a lecture, abstract or poster at a national co nference.
