Maintenance Tech - N2

Night Shift: 6:45pm - 7am with every other weekend off DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES Installs, maintains and repairs production machinery, auxiliary equipment, packaging equipment/automation and attends to building maintenance. Installs power supply wiring and conduit for newly installed machines and plant systems such as molding machines and auxiliary equipment. Troubleshoots electrical, hydraulic, pneumatic, and mechanical problems. Makes repairs and tests equipment for operation. Orders parts or equipment for projects. Operates cutting torch or welding equipment to cut or join metal parts. Installs programs or repairs electrical apparatus and installs new or repaired parts. Performs preventative maintenance on machinery and equipment. Repairs and maintains the physical structure of the establishment. Enters and follows up on work orders in the PEM system. Ensures safety of self, co‑workers, and environment, identifying and reporting safety concerns. Strives for zero waste, zero litter and involvement in the recycling program. Engages in safety and quality programs; informs staff of food safety responsibilities and encourages reporting of potential food safety issues. EDUCATIONAL, SKILL & PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS High School Diploma or GED required. Previous work experience in a manufacturing environment maintaining automated equipment preferred. Previous experience working with and maintaining mechanical, electrical, hydraulic, and pneumatic systems required. Ability to read electrical and hydraulic diagrams for troubleshooting. Ability to troubleshoot and problem solve mechanical, electrical, hydraulic, and pneumatic systems effectively. Ability to read and comprehend written and verbal instruction. Ability to effectively receive and present information in one‑on‑one, group, or larger employee settings. Basic arithmetic skills (add, subtract, multiply, divide with whole numbers, common fractions, and decimals). Physical ability to lift up to 35 lbs and perform standing, bending, stooping, and twisting for the majority of an eight‑hour shift. Ability to climb on and off a forklift safely and without assistance. Ability to safely operate a forklift in high‑traffic, low‑clearance areas while maintaining safety for others. Hearing sufficient to recognize and respond to shouted warnings, alarms, and horns on forklifts. Ability to work at heights and safely climb ladders without assistance. Ability to manually manipulate and safely use required tools and parts. Capability to work overhead and assume various positions frequently. Works independently using equipment manuals and maintains housekeeping aligned with safety and quality expectations. BENEFITS Medical, dental, and vision plans.
