Details Respiratory Care department at a hospital in Austin, TX Adult respiratory therapy patient population Common procedures include nebulizer treatments, oxygen therapy, and ventilator management Day shift: 7:00 AM – 7:00 PM, 12‑hour shifts Rotating weekend coverage No on‑call requirements Requirements Active RRT credential required; license required if applicable Minimum 1 year of recent experience in respiratory therapy (within the last 6 months) Current ACLS and BLS certifications required (AHA or ARC accepted; certifications must not expire within the first 30 days of the assignment start) US SSN and DOB required for consideration — no Canadian SSNs accepted One professional reference required No gaps in work history of 90 days or more within the past 12 months Candidates must reside more than 50 miles from the facility — local candidates are not eligible Additional Information Perform nebulizer treatments, oxygen therapy, and ventilator management as core daily responsibilities Scrub color requirement: olive green tops and black bottoms ICU, NICU, or PICU experience is preferred Pay & Stipend Pay package is based on 12‑hour shifts and 36 hours per week (subject to confirmation) with a tax‑free stipend amount to be determined.
