Food Safety Manager

Ambassador Personnel is seeking a Food Safety Manager for one of their clients in Alma, GA to oversee critical food safety programs that ensure safe, high-quality products while meeting customer and regulatory expectations. This is a direct hire opportunity with exceptional benefits and total compensation package. In this role, you'll manage and maintain key food safety initiatives, including third-party and customer audits, sanitation programs, HACCP, environmental monitoring, allergen management, supplier approval, and regulatory compliance. You'll work closely with operations and leadership to foster a strong food safety culture and help protect the integrity of the company's products. What You'll Do Implement and maintain food safety plans and systems to ensure product safety. Lead quality technicians by conducting label reviews, inspections, and overseeing cleaning and sanitation activities. Monitor and report quality metrics and testing program results. Manage the Supplier Approval Program for incoming ingredients. Partner with the Food Safety team to minimize food safety risks and liability. Respond to customer food safety documentation requests in a timely manner. Lead customer and third-party audits and coordinate corrective actions. Establish and maintain food safety policies, specifications, and standards. Respond promptly to customer and regulatory requests. Maintain accurate food safety records and documentation. Ensure food safety databases remain current and compliant. Build productive relationships with growers, customers, retailers, and internal teams. Support crisis prevention efforts through proactive food safety management. What We're Looking For Bachelor's degree in Food Science, Food Safety, Chemistry, Agricultural Business, or a related field. 2+ years of experience in food safety, agribusiness, or retail food safety, preferably within the fresh produce industry. Working knowledge of third-party food safety audit standards, including GFSI-recognized programs. Experience with FDA Food Safety Modernization Act (FSMA) requirements. Strong communication and relationship-building skills with growers, customers, retailers, and consumers. Ability to influence and promote a positive food safety culture. Comfortable working in a fast-paced, ever-changing environment. Bilingual Spanish (written and verbal) is a plus. Ambassador Personnel is an Equal Opportunity Employer.
