Staff Mobile Engineer, Flutter

The Opportunity We're hiring a Lead Mobile Engineer, Flutter to help build the future of learning on mobile. As an early member of the engineering team, you'll own key features of a consumer-facing learning experience across iOS and Android. You'll play a critical role in establishing technical standards, shaping engineering culture, and building polished, interactive mobile experiences at scale. You'll work closely with Design, Product, and Engineering to create high-quality educational experiences that blend Flutter development, animation, and interactivity. What You'll Do Own Flutter mobile development end-to-end across iOS and Android. Design, build, test, and maintain core mobile features with a high bar for performance, reliability, and UX. Lead development of new mobile features in Flutter. Bridge into native iOS functionality using Swift when performance or platform access requires it. Partner closely with Design to ship interactive learning experiences using Rive and Unity. Own mobile quality and testing, including unit, integration, and end-to-end testing. Conduct code reviews and contribute to architecture decisions. Help establish engineering standards, best practices, and a culture of craftsmanship. You have deep, hands-on Flutter experience and can own complex mobile features end-to-end. You take extreme ownership and hold a high bar for quality. You thrive in fast-moving, high-performance startup environments. Required Qualifications 7+ years of professional mobile engineering experience. Strong, production-level experience building mobile applications with Flutter. Experience with native iOS development using Swift and/or Objective-C. Proven track record building and maintaining mobile apps at scale; experience with 1M+ users strongly preferred. Deep knowledge of mobile performance optimization and testing strategies. Experience writing unit tests and end-to-end tests. Ability to work autonomously in a fast-paced environment. Track record of shipping high-quality products in high-performance teams.
