Environmental Project Manager - Remediation Focus

Environmental Project Manager – Remediation Focus Job Type: Full‑time Location: Midland, TX (Hybrid work model) Compensation: USD 86,000 – USD 120,000 per year Business Group: DCS – Environment Legal Entity: AECOM Technical Services Inc. AECOM is seeking a talented Environmental Project Manager to lead projects in environmental justice, remediation, or Brownfields. The role will manage project delivery, ensure compliance with regulations, and foster business development within the Texas region. Responsibilities Understand site investigation and remediation techniques to drive solutions for clients. Assume overall management of projects and establish project‑specific objectives. Provide management and guidance to AECOM staff, subcontractors, and vendors. Engage existing and potential clients regarding AECOM service capabilities. Provide mentorship to staff. Oversee and deliver projects in accordance with specifications, budget, and schedule. Supervise management of all project phases and predict resource needs. Provide technical oversight and quality control. Deliver consistent project updates to stakeholders, highlighting strategy, adjustments, and progress. Identify, mitigate, and manage project risks. Manage complex clients and projects, consistently delivering profit margins as planned. Qualifications B.S. in engineering, geology, environmental science, or a related field. Minimum 4 years of experience in site investigation, remediation, project management, and business development (or equivalent experience). Must pass a background check. Preferred Qualifications 15+ years of experience in site investigation, remediation, project management, and business development. Licensed professional engineer or geologist. Experience working with regulatory agencies in Colorado, California, or Texas. Current 40‑hour HAZWOPER certification. PMP certification. Experience with regulator and stakeholder negotiations.
