Job Summary:

Responsibilities:

• 
  Prepare operating rooms with necessary surgical instruments and supplies for pediatric cardiac procedures.
  
  
• 
  Assist surgeons during cardiopulmonary bypass setup, ECMO cannulation, and other critical components of cardiac surgery.
  
  
• 
  Maintain strict adherence to aseptic techniques and ensure sterile field integrity.
  
  
• 
  Handle intraoperative tasks including equipment management and assisting with patient positioning.
  
  
• 
  Document procedure details accurately in electronic medical records.
  
  
• 
  Support post-operative turnover and ensure all surgical instruments are properly sterilized.
  
  

Qualifications:

• 
  Current CST certification required.
  
  
• 
  Minimum of 2 years recent experience in cardiac or pediatric cardiac surgery.
  
  
• 
  Experience with cardiopulmonary bypass and ECMO procedures strongly preferred.
  
  
• 
  Knowledge of Epic electronic charting system preferred.
  
  
• 
  Valid state license (OH or multi-state license required; OH license to join compact January 1, 2023).
  
  
• 
  Ability to respond within 30 minutes for call shifts.
