Pediatric Dentist Opportunity

St. Louis Children's Hospital is seeking a Pediatric Dentist to join the team.

Work Schedule:

• 8:00 AM to 4:30 PM or 9:00 AM to 5:00 PM
• Pick - Tuesday, Wednesday or Thursday (depending on patient volume)
• Call is 6 days per month, rotating holidays and shared with 2 other Dentists
• Outpatient, inpatient and surgeries
• Medically complex patients
• Pediatric dentistry BC/BE required
• This position requires a Pediatric Residency or Fellowship

Role Purpose:

Diagnose, prevent and treat problems with teeth or mouth tissue. This role must have a Pediatric Dentistry certificate from an accredited program in the U.S. or Canada and be eligible to be certified for a specialty license for pediatric dentistry.

Responsibilities:

• Observes, evaluates, and applies knowledge of dental skills to provide optimal patient care. Diagnoses and renders appropriate dental care to patients. Fulfills dental consulting requests.
• Records all procedures and pertinent information in patients record.
• Trains, supervises and evaluates the work of clinic staff.
• Establishes and maintains effective working relationships with superiors, associates, representatives of public agencies and organizations, and private health care providers.
• Educates individuals and their families regarding dental health hygiene.

Minimum Requirements:

Education:

• Doctorate - DDS/DMD from accredited dental school

Experience:

• Less than 2 years

Supervisor Experience:

• No Experience

Licenses & Certifications:

• American Dental Association
• Licensed Dentist in Missouri

Preferred Requirements:

Experience:

• 5-10 years

Supervisor Experience:

• 2-5 years

Licenses & Certifications:

• Pediatric Dentistry Board eligible/certified
