Shower Aide (CNA1 (GNA))

Job Summary:

We are seeking a compassionate and dedicated Shower Aide (CNA1 (GNA)) to join our team at Mountain City Rehab Center in Frostburg, Maryland. As a Shower Aide, you will play a vital role in providing high-quality care to our residents, focusing on their personal hygiene, comfort, and well-being. This is a full-time opportunity with competitive compensation and great benefit packages.

Responsibilities:

• Provide bath/shower care to at least 9-10 residents in the 8-hour shift, including shaving, nail care, and skin integrity checks

• Complete skin sheets on showers completed and report any changes in skin conditions requiring treatment

• Document care provided accurately and thoroughly

• Pass ice and water, as needed

• Assist with serving and feeding residents in the dining room during mealtimes

• Assist with transfers from bed to wheelchairs

• Complete other CNA duties as needed, including answering call bells

• Maintain a clean and organized environment, adhering to infection control protocols

Requirements:

• High school diploma or GED

• CNA-1 (GNA) License

• Ability to think and work independently and with direction

• Comfortable working in a fast-paced and sometimes stressful environment

• Good communication skills and bedside manner with a compassionate personality

• Up-to-date identification

• Basic computer skills
