Job Description
Join Our Dedicated Mental Health Team - Night Shift Opportunity!


- Shift: 19:00-07:00
- Guaranteed Hours: 48 hours
- Contract Duration: 91 weeks
- Unit: ADOL, Serenity, ITU, SRAD, and VINE
- Location: Kansas City, MO

Why This Role?
- Work with a diverse patient group:
- ADOL: Ages 12-18
- Serenity: Lower acuity adult unit
- ITU: Higher acuity adult unit with thought disorders
- SRAD: Senior lifestyle patients
- VINE: Lower acuity adult unit

Responsibilities:
- Assess mental health status and recognize signs of psychiatric disorders
- Develop and implement individualized care plans
- Administer psychiatric medications and monitor for side effects
- Provide crisis intervention and de-escalation techniques
- Perform therapeutic communication with patients
- Monitor patients for physical and psychological symptoms

- VINE: 9
- Patient Ratios:
- Nurses: 8 to 1
- MHTs: 12 to 1
- Documentation System: Meditech

Qualifications:
- Required Certifications: BLS and CPI
- Advanced skills in crisis intervention and therapeutic communication
- Ability to follow HCA's ICARE values: Integrity, Compassion, Always, Respect

Dress Code:
