Dental Hygienist

Dental Hygienist, Tanasbourne Dental Office (20hrs, Days)The Registered Dental Hygienist directs oral hygiene care for KPDCP members including comprehensive prevention, maintenance, therapeutic dental treatment and/or restorative services. The RDH educates members of their oral status, motivating them to achieve and maintain optimum oral health.Essential Responsibilities:Provide direct patient oral hygiene care for program members, including comprehensive prevention, maintenance, and/or therapeutic dental treatment restorative services.Data collection and documentation pertaining to patients oral health in compliance with policy and procedure.Provide oral hygiene instruction and education.Maintain a work area appropriate to a clinical environment in compliance with environmental health and safety standards.Support other office functions during down time, ensuring a level of cooperation and positive work environment.Performs other duties as requested.Basic Qualifications:Experience: N/AEducation: Graduation from an accredited dental hygiene program with a minimum of an associates degree in applied science.License, Certification, Registration:Basic Life SupportNational Provider IdentifierDental Hygienist License (Oregon)Additional Requirements:Please note: WA Initial and Renewable Limited License are not acceptable.Please note: Local anesthesia endorsement and nitrous oxide permit are for Oregon Dental Hygiene license only, these endorsements/permits are included in the Washington State Dental Hygiene licenseNitrous oxide permit.X-ray equipment - Daily.Ultrasonic scalers - Daily for deposit removal.Handpieces - Daily for polishing teeth and fillings.Preferred Qualifications:Basic knowledge of sterilization and infection control equipmentBasic computer skillsRestorative function endorsement (Oregon Dental Hygiene license only - this endorsement is included in the Washington State Dental Hygiene license)Notes:Available three weekdays & variable Saturday Days/Times variable.Travel Tanasbourne, Aloha, Beaverton, Cedar Hills, Tigard dental.Primary Location: Oregon, Hillsboro, Tanasbourne Medical/Dental Offices Scheduled Weekly Hours: 20 Shift: Day Workdays: Mon, Thu, Fri, Sat Working Hours Start: 07:00 AM Working Hours End: 06:00 PM Job Schedule: Part-time Job Type: Standard Worker Location: Onsite Employee Status: Regular Employee Group/Union Affiliation: W03|AFT|Local 5017 Job Level: Individual Contributor Department: TANASBOURNE MED & DTL OFFICE - Dental Office - 1008 Pay Range: $56.53 - $60.65 / hour
