This position may be underfilled as a Fiscal Manager II on a career development plan if unable to fill at the Fiscal Manager III. Contingent Upon Funding: Contingent upon external funding Standard Work Schedule: Standard (M-F, 8-5) Job Duties and Responsibilities: Provide fiscal oversight and financial management for grants and contracts managed by the Office of Engineering Research, for the College of Engineering researchers. Ensuring the integrity of accounting and business operations across multiple funding sources. Manage and oversee all accounting functions for the College of Engineering (COE), including restricted awards, unrestricted funds, Research and Public Service Projects (RPSP), E-Fee funds, gift accounts, Differential Tuition (DT) funding and Global funding. Monitor daily fiscal operations to ensure compliance with applicable federal, state, sponsor, and university policies, procedures, and regulations. Develop, monitor, and reconcile budgets for restricted and unrestricted funds, ensuring expenditures align with approved budgets and funding requirements. Prepare and analyze financial reports, budget projections, and fiscal analyses for college leadership, principal investigators, and other stakeholders to support strategic planning and decision-making. Provide financial guidance and oversight to departments and principal investigators regarding budget management, allowable expenditures, and funding availability. Coordinate annual budget development and forecasting for all college funding sources, ensuring accurate financial planning and resource allocation. Review financial transactions and account activity to maintain accurate records, identify discrepancies, and implement corrective actions as needed. Qualifications Required Education and Experience: Associate's Degree + 8 years of relevant experience or a Bachelor's degree + 6 years of relevant experience. Master's degree or higher preferred. Preferred Qualifications: Bachelor Degree in Accounting and 8 years experience. Special Certification/Licensure Working Conditions and Physical Effort Environment: Work is normally performed in a typical interior/office work environment. Physical Effort: Light physical effort. Effort applies to no more than two (2) hours per day. Lifting Requirements: Requires handling of average-weight objects up to 10 pounds or some standing or walking.
