Back End Developer

Position : Backend Developer (Junior Level) Location : United States (Remote/On-site) Job Type : Full-Time (Unpaid Role Until Fundraise) About Us : Power Nest Talent, a leader in talent management and business advisory, is seeking a motivated Backend Developer to join our team and work on a project for one of our esteemed clients. This role offers a unique opportunity to contribute to building robust and scalable backend systems in a dynamic startup environment. This is an unpaid role until our next round of fundraising, providing a chance to grow with us from the ground up. Key Responsibilities : Develop and maintain server-side logic and APIs, ensuring high performance and responsiveness. Collaborate with front-end developers to integrate user-facing elements with server-side logic. Design and implement data storage solutions, including database schemas and relationships. Troubleshoot, debug, and upgrade existing systems. Optimize application performance and scalability. Stay updated with emerging backend technologies and best practices. Work closely with our client’s team to understand their requirements and deliver effective solutions. Qualifications : Education : Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or a related field (preferred but not mandatory). Relevant certifications in backend development or cloud computing are a plus. Experience : 0-2 years of experience in backend development or a related field. Proficiency in server-side languages such as Python, Node.js, Ruby, Java, or PHP. Experience with database management systems like MySQL, MongoDB, or PostgreSQL. Skills : Strong understanding of RESTful APIs and web services. Knowledge of cloud services (AWS, Azure, or Google Cloud) is a plus. Ability to write clean, maintainable, and efficient code. Good problem-solving skills and attention to detail. Strong communication skills and ability to work collaboratively in a team environment. Salary Range : This is an unpaid role until our next round of fundraising. Upon successful fundraising, compensation will be aligned with market standards for junior-level backend developers in the US.
