Customer Service Specialist

Customer Service Representative Park Nicollet is looking to hire a Customer Service Representative to join our Patient Financial Services (PFS) team! Position Summary: The customer service representative thoroughly researches and resolves concerns related to billing, insurance, or the patient's ability to pay. The customer service representative must ensure the patient concerns and issues are resolved in a timely and accurate manner in accordance with organizational policies and procedures, as well as the Attorney General Agreement and Federal regulations. The customer service representative perform tasks related to: obtaining payment over the telephone or in person from patient/guarantor, resolving patient's balances by offering and accepting all appropriate payment arrangements, updating incomplete or missing information on accounts to ensure that billing is correct, provide accurate information and facilitate resolution to patients and third party inquiries, offering Financial Assistance and/or directing patients to the appropriate Government Assistance Programs. Always representing the company in a professional and positive manner and following the Attorney General Agreement and Federal regulations. Effective performance of these functions helps the organization achieve strong cash flow and maximize patient's satisfaction. Required Qualifications: One-year related work experience as a customer service/collections or revenue cycle professional. Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities: Self-motivation, problem resolution including professionalism and composure is required. Moderate proficiency with word processing, spreadsheets and email is required. Working knowledge of typical office equipment is expected.
