Human Resource Partner (26141645) Position Title: Human Resource Partner - (26141645) Job Overview The Human Resource Partner serves as the primary HR contact for assigned divisions, providing both day-to-day support and strategic guidance on all Office of Human Resources (OHR) services. This includes recruitment and selection, job descriptions and classification, position management, compensation, performance management and discipline, Family Medical Leave (FMLA), workers’ compensation, early return to work, safety, labor relations, training, EEO/Civil Rights, ADA, and related policy. You will work closely with division leadership to identify patterns and opportunities across HR services, recommend and implement practical system-level improvements, and help resolve persistent issues such as recruitment and retention challenges or classification concerns. You will also ensure HR services for your divisions are coordinated, timely, and consistent with law, policy, and collective bargaining agreements. Detail-oriented and quality-driven: Produces accurate, thorough work and routinely checks for errors or inconsistencies. Strong communicator: Clearly and professionally communicates in writing and verbally with varied audiences. Collaborative relationship-builder: Works effectively in teams, builds professional relationships, and adjusts approach based on different roles and levels in the organization. Technically proficient: Learns and uses complex, service-related software and HR systems. Trainer and customer-service oriented: Guides and trains others while providing excellent, responsive customer service. Professional and discreet: Remains neutral and calm in adversarial situations and maintains confidentiality and discretion. Minimum Qualifications Bachelor’s degree in business, public administration, human resources, journalism, English, psychology, marketing, or related. Three years of job-related work experience involving HR services such as classification, compensation, recruitment and selection, performance management, interpreting employment policy and law, labor relations, or related field. Current State of Montana Classification Certification, or completing certification within 1 year of employment. Other combinations of education and experience that clearly demonstrate the knowledge, skills, and abilities needed for this role may be considered. If you do not have a traditional HR or business degree but have developed comparable skills through work experience, training, or education, you are encouraged to describe that in your application materials. Training Assignment: This agency may use a training assignment. Employees in training assignments may be paid below the base pay established by the agency pay rules.
