Project Manager, Special Education Professional Development Position: Project Manager, Special Education Professional Development Agency, Oklahoma State Department of Education (OSDE). Location: Oliver Hodge Building, Oklahoma City, Oklahoma. Full‑time position with continuous appointment. Compensation: $67,500 per year. Position Overview Lead the design, implementation, and evaluation of professional development programs for educators, create asynchronous courses, and provide specialized training on Data‑Based Individualization (DBI) and Multi‑Tiered System of Support (MTSS). This role requires in‑person presence in Oklahoma City, with no remote or hybrid options. Responsibilities Develop and implement comprehensive professional development programs in reading, math, and writing aligned with national accreditation standards. Plan and execute state‑wide conferences in collaboration with colleagues. Create asynchronous training modules with assessments to determine mastery; use evaluation results to identify training needs and develop tailored plans. Support adoption of evidence‑based instructional practices and eliminate ineffective methods. Design and deliver in‑depth training on DBI and the MTSS framework, guiding educators through data‑driven decision making and the RtI model. Evaluate the effectiveness of programs through data analysis and participant feedback; continuously refine content and delivery methods. Collaborate with school administrators, instructional coaches, and teachers to ensure programs meet needs. Disseminate high‑quality training materials and resources, ensuring they are up‑to‑date and research‑based. Manage multiple professional development projects simultaneously, developing plans, monitoring progress, and adjusting strategies to achieve outcomes. Demonstrate professionalism, positive attitude, and ethical conduct; build constructive relationships with stakeholders. Maintain regular, reliable in‑person attendance and punctuality to support teamwork and productivity. Apply critical thinking, creativity, and innovation to address evolving educational needs. Optimize resources, streamline processes, and adopt technology to enhance productivity. Provide outstanding customer service and exceed expectations through effective communication. Minimum Qualifications Master’s degree in Special Education, Curriculum and Instruction, Educational Leadership, or related field (official transcripts required). Five (5) years of experience in education with a focus on professional development and instructional leadership. Valid standard teaching certificate. Special Requirements Must be authorized to work in the United States on a full‑time basis without sponsorship now or in the future. Successful completion of a pre‑employment background check. Valid U.S. driver’s license for necessary travel. Compensation & Benefits Generous Benefits Allowance: Up to $21,934.08 annually, tailored to family size. Employee Assistance Program support. Physical Demands & Work Environment Location: Oliver Hodge Building, Oklahoma City, Oklahoma. The role requires a climate‑controlled office environment with moderate noise exposure. Responsibilities include frequent talking, walking, standing, and long periods of sitting with daily computer and phone use. You must remain in a stationary position for 75% of the time. Stand, reach, and bend 50% of the time. Operate office equipment such as computers, printers, and telephones 75% of the time. Ascend/descend stairs 25% of the time. Lift up to 25 lbs. Cognitive requirements include clear communication, strong analytical skills, timely decision making, sustained focus, memory retention, adaptability, and mental flexibility. Travel Up to 20% in‑state or out‑of‑state travel may be required.
