Job Summary:
Registered Nurse (RN) specializing in Medical Surgical Floor located in Cape Girardeau, Missouri. This position involves delivering comprehensive nursing care to patients with a variety of medical and surgical conditions. The role requires providing physical, emotional, psychological, and spiritual support to patients and their families while ensuring quality and safety standards are upheld.

Job Details:

• Schedule: Nights shift from 7:00 PM to 7:00 AM; minimum of 36 hours per week.
• Required Qualifications: Valid BLS certification; NIH certification (can be completed at orientation); minimum of 1 year of nursing experience in a clinical setting; current nursing license; willingness to learn and perform charge duties if not already experienced in charge roles.
• Preferred Qualifications: Neuro and Stroke experience highly preferred.
• Float: Float rotation may be required to Med Surg and Progressive Care units.
• Additional Information: Flu vaccination is required for all travelers from November 1 through April 1, with exemptions subject to client approval. The facility has 17 beds with patient ratios approximately 1:6, utilizing standard equipment including IV pumps, and employs the EPIC electronic medical record system. The nursing role involves monitoring patient symptoms, administering medications, assisting with examinations, and maintaining compliance with safety and accreditation standards. Candidates should have good communication skills, be attentive, caring, and capable of working well within a team. The dress code is scrubs in black.
