Responsibilities Job Summary: The RN Flex Team I practices as a full partner on the multidisciplinary team. Independently plans, implements, and evaluates patient care and performs related duties as required. Assesses patient's needs for nursing care, assures continuity of care through appropriate discharge planning, patient education and coordination of services, and acts as a patient and family advocate. Demonstrates and models the full range of nursing professional practice in both patient care provided and in development of strategies to improve patient outcomes, satisfaction, and cost effectiveness at the unit level. This patient population contains various levels of acuity requiring individualized care plans. This nursing team is highly skilled in delivering care and bringing compassion to the care plan. • Qualifications:
  • Associate's Degree in Nursing
  • One (1) Year Of Experience in Labor and Delivery
  • LICENSURE Active Texas RN License, license in good standing with the The Texas State Board of Nursing
  • CERTIFICATIONS Basic Life Support (BLS AHA)and NRP
• PRN Requirements
  • PRN employees must maintain minimum standard availability, in which to perform work as follows:
  • Four (4) shifts per month
  • Two (2) of the Four (4) shifts occurring on a Weekend
  • One (1) Winter Holiday
  • One (1) Summer Holiday
• Need minimum of 2 years experience in newborn nursery postpartum and be willing to learn Labor and Delivery
